Brave Hearts of Calabar will play fellow Atlantic Conference side CAMAC from Bayelsa in the final of the Total National Division 2 League on Saturday at the National Stadium, Lagos. The final game is billed for 2pm, Extrasportsnigeria.com reports.
CAMAC of Bayelsa defeated Prison Reformers in semi finals of the playoffs to clinch their ticket to the final. Brave Hearts over came Taraba Hurricanes 72-54 to book a final place.
The City of Lagos came alive with basketball games since the 23rd of October as eight teams converged at the Sports Hall of the National Stadium for the National Finals of the Total/NBBF Division 2 League.
The playoff teams are Ondo Kings, Nigerian Prisons (Minna), Nassarawa Golden Touch, Taraba Hurricanes and Bukavu Blinks (Kano). The others are CAMAC (Bayelsa), Brave Hearts and Coal City (Enugu) for the first ever Total/NBBF National Division 2 title.
For the first time in the history of the developmental league, over 200 clubs from the 36 states participated with 72 teams qualifying for the Zonal final.
The conference phase played in Akure (Ondo State) and Minna (Niger State) saw eight teams getting their tickets to the finals of the league sponsored by Total Nigeria.
