Chinese club tables offer for Ighalo
Watford manager, Walter Mazzarri on Monday confirmed they have received official bid for Nigeria striker, Odion Ighalo. He was not specific with the club’s name this time but added, “He has a big offer now and he’s negotiating.”
Reports say the deal is being negotiated with Chinese club Changchun Yatai who have laid out a substantial offer for the Super Eagles attacker. The clubs are currently engaged in negotiations, while it is also believed that some other Premier League clubs are also chasing him.
Another Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua are understood to have tabled a £15m bid for the 27-year-old striker.
It is believed that Watford have placed a £25m price tag on the player who has found it very difficult hitting the net this season
On Sunday, Watford left out the striker from an FA Cup tie loss at Millwall.
The striker may also have to consider his place with the Nigerian squad before a move to China as the Nigeria coach Rohr doesn’t appear too keen seeing many Nigerians in that league after team captain Mikel Obi landed there.
