Nigeria goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa says he is now fit to man the post once again for the Super Eagles. In particular he says he is set for the friendly games against Poland and Serbia coming up this month.
Ezenwa is among the players called up by coach Gernot Rohr for the 2018 FIFA World Cup build-up games.
Ezenwa who returned to training last week after the injury he sustained while on duty for Nigeria during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco last month said on Thursday he feels happy to be a part of the team once again.
“I am glad to be invited for the two international friendly matches and I promise to give my best,” Ezenwa told CSN.
“I want to thank the coaches for the confidence and belief they have in me and I want to say that this is another opportunity for me to serve my country. I have started training for over two weeks now and I can say that I am very okay and ready to play.
“I am also happy that we are playing these friendly matches because I believe the matches will help us to prepare well for the World Cup.”
Nigeria will play Poland in Warsaw on March 23 and face Serbia on March 27 in London.
