Super Eagles returnee Moses Simon, Williams Troost-Ekong and Semi Ajayi were amongst the first set of players to arrive at the Eagles camp in Uyo as Nigeria prepares for a double-header against Libya on Saturday and Tuesday. They have hit camp just as th Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa declares himself fit for the African Nations Cup qualifying matches.
On Monday Nigeria Football Federation officials had become worried over the trickle-in style of the players to the camp but by Tuesday morning the number had grown appreciably to permit quality training. It was the first match of the camping.
As they continue the training, Enyimba FC and Nigeria goalkeeper, Ezenwa has declared himself fit enough for the match against Libya.
The Enyimba goalie was pulled out of the Aiteo Cup match against Kano Pillars at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe last week but he has now declares himself fit.
Ezenwa said on Tuesday, “I am fit and battle ready for the match. I was hit by a Kano Pillars player, Alhassan Ibrahim and that affected me but I am now feeling better and ready for the task ahead.”
Ezenwa has also said he has recovered from the pains of the loss to shift his attention immediately to his national team assignment.
