Moses misses Chelsea’s Australian tour

Nigerian attacker and Chelsea wing-back, Victor Moses did not fly to Australia for pre-season with the team on Wednesday. The attacker resumed at Stamford Bridge on Thursday from his summer holiday embarked on after the World Cup.

But he is not the only player missing in the Australian tour as fellow Nigerian Kenneth Omeruo did also not fly out with the in the squa.

They were both given an extended holiday for their involvement with Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia. Omeruo though has consistently been on loan since he joined the Stamford Army. Close watchers of the transfer market have suggested that the Nigerian would likely be up for a permanent transfer this time.

In Australia, Chelsea will face Perth Glory at Optus Stadium on July 23 before battling Inter Milan at the International Champions Cup in Nice, France on July 28. They will then battle London rivals, Arsenal in Aviva Stadium, Dublin on August 1 and Olympique Lyon at Stamford Bridge on August 7 at their return, as they count down to the new season.

Chelsea will play Premier League champions, Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 5 at Wembley Stadium, London.
