Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has given the club and Nigerian fans news to cheer about. The Italian announced on Friday that Victor Moses is most likely to star in the game against Bournemouth, Extrasportsnigeria.com reports.
Conte spoke of the Nigerian’s fitness during his pre-match conference, and confirmed the wingback could face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
Moses missed Chelsea’s last two matches, against Manchester City and Crystal Palace, through injury, having also pulled out of the Nigeria squad in the match against Senegal during the recent international break.
Conte, though, hopes he will be able to feature against Eddie Howe’s side.
“Victor Moses trained with us yesterday and today, I have to check his situation and then make the best decision for the team but he’s available,” said the Italian.
There are no other injury concerns.
It is quite cheering news for Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr as the country prepares to face to face South Africa in June in one of the qualifying matches to the 2019 African Nations Cup.
This season, the former Wigan Athletic player has made 27 appearances for the Stamford Bridge team in the Premier League, scoring 3 goals.
