Rangers match bonuses cleared as Govt asks team to win in Bauchi

The management of Rangers has made the payment of the outstanding two match bonuses due to players and officials In its bid to ensure the upward movement of the team in the table is maintained in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2022/23 season,

This comes as a motivation for a win in the Match day 6 fixture against Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.

Addressing the players after its training session on Thursday, at the Rangers Training Pitch, the Administrative Secretary of the club, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, praised the players and coaching crew for the newfound form that has helped the team go three matches unbeaten. He also challenged them to increase the tempo in their match against Wikki Tourists on Sunday in Bauchi.

“Enugu State Government through the management of Rangers is living up to its promise and willing to go further in its push for the club to achieve its set targets this season. In this regard, the two outstanding match bonuses for this season have been cleared to serve as a motivation towards your match in Bauchi against Wikki Tourists this weekend,” Ugwuarua said.

“The maximum point is our target and management believes in your ability to deliver the goods.”

Rangers will be at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi for the Group B encounter against Wikki Tourists on Sunday, February 5.

The Flying Antelopes will be bent on annexing all three points at stake to further push for a top finish in the group and be a part of the end of the season, Super-Six championship playoff, a task the management already set before the commencement of the league.
