Super Eagles watch as Senegal force Brazil to draw

Super Eagles players and their manager, Gernot Rohr were at the Singapore National Stadium to watch the Teranga Lions of Senegal force Brazil to a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Belgium based Dennis Bonaventure and Chidozie Awaziem, Paul Onuachu, Wilfred Ndidi and William Troost-Ekong were among the players that watched Thursday’s encounter from the stands.

Roberto Firmino opened the scoring for Brazil in the ninth minute as the fans cheered. That goal was cancelled out in first-half stoppage time by Famara Diedhiou of Bristol City who converted from the penalty spot after Sadio Mane was brought down.

Nigeria will play Brazil in another friendly encounter at the same venue on Sunday. Sunday’s fixture will be the second meeting between both teams at senior level, after the South Americans grabbed a 3-0 win in Abuja back in June 2003.

The match will start at 1pm Nigerian time and would be live on AIT.
