CAF: Nigeria’s Pinnick defeats Anjorin
Nigeria’s FA president Amaju Pinnick has won a seat in the CAF Executive Committee after defeating Beninoise FA president Anjorin Ayodele Moucharafou. Pinnick won by 32 votes to 17 in the election held Thursday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where the CAF Assembly is holding. They contested the West B Zone seat in what has been seen as one of the most fiercely contests for the Executive Committee seat.
The Nigerian will be an executive council member of CAF till 2021 before a fresh election is due.
The Nigeria Football Federation has since sent a congratulatory message to him on the feat.
