Eagles defender Echiejile weds in France

Nigeria and Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile wedded his long time girlfriend Oghenevwemo Ziregbe in a ceremony that took place in France on Saturday, Extrasportsnigeria.com reports.

The player was allowed to stay back in Paris after the Super Eagles 3-0 thrashing of Togo in a friendly match played in the city on Thursday. The player has however postponed his honeymoon as he joins his teammates in Uyo on Tuesday ahead of the African Nations Cup qualifying game billed against South Africa on Saturday.

The wedding had in attendance Echiejile’s teammates and some other Nigerian players and friends at the Le Domaine des Fontenelles 1 Route de Mantes in France.

Reports confirm that Vincent Enyeama and former Nigeria striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni were some of the guests at the event.
