Female footballer beats up female ref during match

A women’s football match in Ghana took a funny but sad twist as a female referee was reportedly assaulted by one of the players.

Ghanaian referee named Faizatu Jakpa was attacked and beaten up by a player of the Fabulous Ladies team in a Ghana women’s league midweek match between Fabulous Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy.

The ugly incident left Jakpa with a swollen face and expectedly scratches on her face. Fellow officials and players helped to rescue Jakpa.

Neither the football club nor the player involved had been sanctioned as of the time of reporting.
