Ghana coach warns Nigeria on Sunday final
Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu has warned Nigeria ahead of Sunday’s WAFU Cup of Nations final match between both countries.
Super Eagles knocked Republic of Benin Squirrels 1-0 before Black Stars B saw off the Menas of Niger 2-0 in the second semi final clash played at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday.
It will be the second showdown between the two sides in the ongoing competition after Nigeria impressively defeated Ghana 2-0 defeat in the last match of Group A. Konadu swears the Black Stars will not fall a second time to Nigeria as they are set to present a different approach to the game on Sunday.
Konadu who spoke to Ghanasoccernet said, “Come Sunday we’ll be very prepared for Nigeria. They beat us the last time we met and we can all attest that they have a strong team, they’re a very good side but we have to make sure to turn the table this time round.
“We are the defending champions but it belongs to history now. Come Sunday we have to open a new chapter and we’ll do so by beating Nigeria.
“We will come out very strong. The last time we had issues with player injuries but I hope to have everybody available on Sunday. It won’t be an easy game and they won’t find it easy as well so we’ll go there and enjoy our football.”
