Ighalo makes FA Cup Quarter-final Team

Odion Ighalo has been named in the English FA Cup Quarter Finals Team after helping Manchester United secure a semi-final ticket.

The poll and tabulations were done by Whoscored.

It was the Nigerian who scored the opening goal against Norwich in the 51st minute on Saturday. Manchester United captain Harry Maguire who scored the winning goal also made the team. United won the game by 2-1 away to Norwich.

The Nigerian was awarded a rating of 7.35 against the Canaries.

On Monday Whoscored posted on Twitter: “FA Cup Team of the Quarter-Finals – Ross Barkley and Odion Ighalo are the top scorers left in the competition (both 3) after both netting over the weekend Clapping hands sign,”

Other United players who made the squad were Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and midfielder Bruno Fernandes. De Bruyne and Sterling made it from Manchester City while Willian and Barkley are from Chelsea. Norwich goalkeeper Krul and his central defender Godfrey complete the team.

Statistically, Ighalo had one shot on target, won 2 aerial duels, won two fouls, and completed 68.4 percent of his passes for the period he spent on the pitch.
