King’s College: Tandoh, others for 100th inter-house sports
A former Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr Kweku Tandoh is in the list of dignitaries expected to attend this year’s annual inter house sports meet of the King’s College, Lagos.
This 2020 event billed for this weekend (February 22) has been described as “a special one” as it would be the 100th edition of the sports show in the college reputed to have produced many great sports men in Nigeria.
The invitation message sent out by the authorities of the college, a copy of which was made available to Extrasportsnigeria.com, states that the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu would be the Royal Father of the Day, while the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education Sonny Echono would be the Distinguished Guest of Honour. A director in the same ministry, Hajia Binta Abdulkadir has been listed the Special Guest of Honour.
The event kicks off by 11am at the school’s sports complex with athletics competition and other side attractions that would make it a memorable day.
The School’s Parents Teachers Association (PTA) led by Yinka Oduntan and other very close associates of the school are fully involved in the efforts to make the 100th inter house sports meet a grand event.
