Mikel, Balogun, Ighalo in Uyo
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has stepped down in Uyo along with some of his players for the Saturday game against Zambia.
The second batch of players flew to Uyo Monday night aboard a Dana Airlines flight. Some of the players on the plane from Abuja include Tianjin Teda’s Mikel Obi, Leicester City trio Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi, Bursaspor pair Mikel Agu and William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Odion Ighalo and Shehu Abdullahi.
John Ogu, goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Dele Ajiboye, Anthony Nwakaeme, John Ogu, Elderson Echiejile and Oghenekaro Etebo checked into the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel on Monday afternoon.
The players are billed to start their training Tuesday morning Eagles for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Group B match
Their opponents, the Zambia arrived in Accra, Ghana by the weekend as they continue build up to the match.
Eagles are heading the group with 10 points and Zambia in second place with 7 points.
