Ndidi in action, Iheanacho out as Leicester, Man United share points
It was another impressive day for Wilfred Ndidi as Leicester City held Manchester United to a 2-2 draw in an all entertaining Premier League match played on Saturday. The game was played at the King Power Stadium.
The Nigerian midfielder was on through the 90 minutes and also got a yellow card in the process. But it was not so sweet Boxing Day game for his Super Eagles teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho who was an unused substitute in the game followed heavily by Nigerian fans.
In the match it was Marcus Rashford who opened scoring for the visitors in the 23rd minute but Harvey Barnes responded eight minutes later to give Leicester the equaliser. Rashord would go on to miss two other chances in the game.
Bruno Fernandes’ 79th-minute goal had looked very lovely to give United 100 per cent away record this season but Vardy’s equaliser – deflected in off Axel Tuanzebe – levelled it up five minutes from time.
