Ngr vs Brazil: Ola Aina out as Iwobi, Ndidi hit Singapore

Torino wing-back Ola Aina has been ruled out of Nigeria’s friendly match against Brazil on Sunday.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that the 23-year-old sustained an injury after a domestic accident and pulled out of the game in Singapore.

NFF stated, “Torino of Italy wing back Ola Aina is out of Sunday’s international friendly against Brazil. He picked up an injury after a domestic accident and will not be available.

“Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will be expected to name a replacement for the former Chelsea defender.”

But as Aina stays out, some of the Nigerian players are already landing in Singapore. In another tweet shared on Super Eagles official Twitter handle, Alex Iwobi, William Troost-Ekong and Wilfred were seen on the flight to Singapore with coach Rohr. There were also Samuel Chukwueze, Emmanuel Dennis, Chidozie Awaziem, Ramon Azeez, Victor Osimhen and Maduka Okoye

The full squad of the three-time African champions is scheduled to be in Singapore on Wednesday for the friendly slated to take place at the Singapore National Stadium.

Nigeria lost 3-0 in their last encounter against the South Americans in 2003in Abuja and will hope for a positive result against the five-time world champions.

It will be the first meeting between the Super Eagles and the Samba boys since they both met at the Abuja in 2003.

This Sunday, October 13 game has kick-off set at 1pm Nigerian time.
