Why we extended Aruna’s contract – TTC Fulda

The management of table tennis Bundesliga team TTC RhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell has explained why they decided to extend the contract of Nigeria table tennis star Quadri Aruna by two years.

The President of the club Stefan Frauenholz said on Wednesday that the Nigerian would remain with the team for the next two seasons following “his impressive display in his first season.”

Aruna occupies 17th place among the 51 players competing in the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) for the 2020/2021 season.

Expressing the intention of the club, Frauenholz is also very satisfied with the extension of Aruna.

“With Quadri Aruna we have been able to tie a strong number one to us for the next two years. His dynamic attacking game is an enrichment for Fulda and all of table tennis Germany and has also settled in very well in Fulda,” the President said.

Aruna described the club as a home away from home in a club press release.

“After I have established myself well in the Bundesliga, I have planned to improve my performance for the second year.

“I feel really at home in Fulda, everyone in charge shows great commitment and the club is run very professionally and in a family-like manner.”

The next season’s squad for TTC Fulda is taking shape with Aruna, German internationals Ruwen Filus and Fan Bo Meng as well as Qing Yu Meng as coach.
