After a hard-fought and well-deserved 1-1 draw against Kwara United in Ilorin last weekend. Abia Warriors are back on home turf for another thrilling episode of the Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter.
They will host a familiar foe, Niger Tornadoes of Minna, at the Elephant’s Park, the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, in what promises to be a pulsating encounter.
Buoyed by that valuable point on the road, courtesy of Emmanuel Nnaji’s superb equalizer, Warriors will be looking to sustain momentum and turn one point into four. A victory on Sunday will not only excite the faithful home fans but will also lift the team well clear of the red zone and reignite their push up the table.
On paper, the hosts hold a clear psychological edge. In the last six meetings between both sides, the Umuahia landlords have triumphed four times, while the Ikon Allah Boys have managed just one win, with one encounter ending in a stalemate.
Nevertheless, it won’t be a walk in the park for the hosts. The visitors will arrive in Aba desperate to avoid a defeat that could see them slip closer to the relegation zone. They will also draw confidence from their hard-fought home win over high-flying Ikorodu City in their last league outing.
For Abia Warriors, absolute focus, unwavering determination, and tactical discipline will be non-negotiable, with the passionate support of the home crowd serving as the twelfth man.
The Matchday 10 fixture is on Sunday, 25th October 2026, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba. Kickoff is at 16:00 hours local time.
