The former Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Danladi Bako; the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Enabulele and the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Prince Kassim Afegbua, have hailed Hon Frank Ilaboya’s appointment as the Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okphebolo on Grassroots Sports Mobilization.

In separate congratulatory messages, the personalities shared the same opinion that the Edo State Governor made the right choice by appointing Hon Ilaboya’s to oversee grassroots sports Mobilization.

Bako wrote, “On behalf of passionate sports loving Nigerians and veteran sports administrators and writers I congratulate Frank Areguame Ilaboya on his appointment as Special Adviser on Grassroots Sports Mobilisation by the Executive Governor of Edo State His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo.

“Frank has earned this appointment deservedly considering his long years of service as a sports writer, later culminating into the exalted position of Chairman Edo State Football Association.

“His years of toil and sweat embedded in his sheer doggedness , stiff determination, unhindered and unbridled capacity to achieve results make him most qualified and acceptable for this job.

“I admonish Frank to realize the undeniable efficacy of growth and development in this onerous assignment of grassroots sports mobilisation.”

Honourable Enabulele acknowledges Ilaboya’s contributions as the Executive Director (Edo North) in the Edo State Sports Commission.

“Ilaboya as a member of the Edo State Sports Commission is leaving an indelible mark of achievements behind and I can attest to his contributions towards developing sports in the state.

“This appointment by His Excellency is another great opportunity to tap more from his vast knowledge of grassroots sports,” said the Commission boss.

Honourable Afegbua echoes the same sentiment, adding that Ilaboya has been in sports all his years, reason the appointment is a fitting one!

“I can’t think of five to ten Edo persons in sports development without the name of Ilaboya coming up. This is a good decision by His Excellency,” the highly respected journalist added.

In his own congratulatory message, the General Manager of SuperSports Nigeria, High Chief Felix Awogu commended the Edo State Governor for appointing Ilaboya to drive grassroots mobilization using sports.

“This is well deserved appointment and I must commend His Excellency Sen Monday Okpebholo for a job well done. Frank Ilaboya’s experience in sports administration makes him the most suitable choice and I have no doubt that he will bring his expertise to bear on this assignment,” Awogu added.
