The Nigeria Basketball Federation/Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League Final-8 playoffs wrapped up on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Lagos with the confirmation of the semi-finalists.
In Group A, MFM defeated Titans 79-50 in the last game of the day to seal their place in the semis as the game became their second straight win. They defeated Bayelsa Blue Whales 69-35 in their first game played on Tuesday.
They joined Aso Sky Queens, who had already gone through to the final four after recording two wins from their first two games. On Wednesday, September 30 they played the first match of the day, defeating Bayelsa Blue Whales 53-30.
Aso Queens defeated Titans 55-36 in their first game on Tuesday.
In Group B, the Elephant Girls (First Bank) played the third match of the day and beat Air Warriors 54-39. On Tuesday, they began their playoffs campaign with a 68-57 in against Victoria Queens from the Savannah Conference.
Nigeria Customs started their Final 8 with a 55-41 points win over rival Air Warriors before beating debutants, Victoria Queens, 61-26 points to move to the final four.
Apart from the Aso Queens, the other semi-final teams have won the NBBF League in previous years.
Thursday matches will produce the final tables for each Group and determine the semi-final fixtures. Nigeria Customs will be playing First Bank by 2pm while MFM take on Aso Sky Queens later at 4pm.
Titans Ladies will be up against Bayelsa Blue Whales by 10am, with the second game of the day taking place at 2pm between Air Warriors and Victoria Queens.
The competition will end on Saturday.
