The Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria (GFN) has appointed Oluwadamilare Kuti to lead its media department.
The federation said in a letter dated September 27, 2026, that its executive board unanimously approved the appointment at a meeting held that day.
It cited Kuti’s record, dedication, and contribution to the growth of sports as reasons for the decision.
The letter, signed by GFN President Prince Kelvin Erhunwunse, congratulated Kuti and expressed hope that the appointment would encourage him in his duties.
Kuti, in his response, pledged to give his best after being announced as a board member of the Gymnastics Federation in charge of media.
“I promise to discharge my duties and promote gymnastics, just as I have always promoted other sports in Nigeria,” Kuti said.
He said the appointment offered an opportunity to bring greater attention to the sport and the people working to develop it across the country.
Through his media role, Kuti hopes to give gymnasts, coaches and competitions the visibility they deserve.
“I am grateful for the confidence placed in me. I look forward to working with the board to tell the stories of our athletes and help more Nigerians connect with gymnastics.”
